THE SWELL SEASON ist das filmische Porträt des Zerbrechens einer Liebe. Glen Hansard und Markéta Irglová haben mit ONCE unzählige Herzen zum Schmelzen gebracht und ihre Liebe zu Gold gemacht, als sie 2008 mit „Falling Slowly“ den Oscar für Best Original Song gewannen. 2011 glänzt schon lange nicht mehr alles - Alltag, Erfolg und das Leben auf Tour stellen die Beziehung des Paares und damit auch die Band auf eine harte Probe.

THE SWELL SEASON is the cinematic breakup of a love.
